INAA Charters Its Newest Chapter in Seattle

1 min read

The executive has formally chartered the Pacific Northwest chapter, based in Seattle, bringing the number of active chapters to fourteen.

How it came together

The group has been meeting informally for close to three years — first as a handful of families sharing Christmas, then as a regular monthly gathering. They applied for recognition in March with 23 founding members, comfortably above the current threshold of ten.

What a charter means

A chartered chapter can elect its own officers, hold funds, send a voting delegate to the general assembly, and receive a share of dues collected from members in its region to spend on local activity.

It also takes on obligations: an annual report, audited local accounts, and a named treasurer accountable to the national committee.

Getting in touch

Members in Washington, Oregon and British Columbia who would like to be attached to the new chapter should contact the Secretary General. Chapter attachment is not automatic — it follows the address on your membership record, which you can update yourself from your account page.
