Nominations are now open for the five officer positions that will lead the association from the close of the 2026 convention.
The positions
- President
- Vice President
- Secretary General
- Treasurer
- Publicity Secretary
Each is a two-year term. All five are volunteer roles — none carries a stipend, and the time commitment is real: officers should expect several hours a week, and more in the run-up to the convention.
Who can stand
Any member in good standing whose dues are paid through the date of the election may stand, and may nominate someone else. A nomination needs a proposer and a seconder, both members in good standing.
The committee only works when the people on it were chosen, not conscripted. If you have been thinking about it, put your name forward.
How to nominate
Send the nominee’s name, the position, and the names of the proposer and seconder to the Secretary General. Nominees will be asked to confirm in writing and to provide a short statement, which will be circulated to members before the vote.
Nominations close on 30 September. Voting takes place at the general assembly on the Friday of the convention.
