The annual convention returns this summer, and for the first time the programme includes a full track for children and young people growing up in the diaspora.
The programme
Friday opens with chapter reports and the treasurer’s presentation. Saturday is given over to workshops — three run in parallel, covering the scholarship programme, small business and professional networking, and a practical session on supporting relatives at home.
Saturday evening is the cultural night, which needs no explanation to anyone who has been before.
For families
The Ateso language sessions run both mornings, aimed at children aged six and up. They are led by volunteers from three chapters and there is no charge for attending.
Registration opens to members first. Chapter leads will circulate details, and the booking link will appear here once it is live.
