Tom Voga Okurut

Tom Voga Okurut, originally from Mukongoro in Kumi District, Uganda, currently resides in Chicago, Illinois, USA. He is a proud alumnus of Roosevelt University in Chicago and maintains a strong connection to his Iteso heritage and community. Tom is passionate about preserving and promoting Iteso culture while encouraging meaningful dialogue, collaboration, and the exchange of ideas that can positively impact our people.

As Public Relations Coordinator of the Iteso of North America Association (INAA), Tom is committed to strengthening communication, promoting the organization’s activities and values, and enhancing connections among Iteso in North America and beyond. His decision to join INAA was inspired by a desire to promote our culture, strengthen unity, and share ideas that contribute to the social and economic advancement of our people. Through his role, he seeks to help amplify the voice of INAA, celebrate Iteso identity, and foster greater engagement in building a stronger and more connected community.
