Jacinta Akol

Jacinta Akol currently resides in Washington State, USA. Originally from Katakwi District and born in Soroti City, East Division, Uganda, she is a proud Atesot with a deep commitment to the preservation, promotion, and advancement of Iteso culture and community. Her strong sense of cultural identity and pride in her heritage continues to inspire her dedication to strengthening connections among Iteso in the diaspora and with communities back home.

As one of the Senior Councilors of the Iteso of North America Association (INAA), Jacinta has been part of the organization since its inception, demonstrating a longstanding commitment to its vision and growth. She joined INAA with a desire to help build and strengthen the Iteso community, preserve our cultural heritage, and promote unity among our people. Through her experience, counsel, and continued service, Jacinta remains committed to supporting INAA’s leadership and helping build a strong, united, and culturally grounded community for present and future generations.
